Dressing up Little Girls for...

... a Summer Wedding

Summer weddings are an easy dressing option. It's relatively warm, so you can go in for a casual dress, especially if it's a day wedding. The sun is shining and the day is glorious. Dress up your little princess in something simple, yet elegant. Mind you, simple does not mean plain.
A knee-length dress or skirt works perfect! Preferably in soft cotton. Just avoid frills and too many ribbons and beads on it as they have a higher chance of causing irritation in summer.
In colors, you can choose either a bright color that will look gorgeous in the sunlight, or a light color to highlight her hair and eyes. Avoid dark colors, as they will absorb a lot of heat. Peep-toes or front open shoes will look perfect with either option.

... a Winter Wedding

When it comes to the kind of dresses that can be worn for a winter wedding, you have a lot of choice. Since it is cold, there are more pieces of clothing to wear, so you can choose from so many different clothes and styles.
Assuming it is an evening wedding, formal attire is the best option. Have her wear a matching knit skirt and blouse with a jacket. Tie up her hair in a neat, low ponytail and for the final classy touch, add a gorgeous brooch on the lapel of the jacket, or a pretty silk scarf around her neck.
Another option is to have her wear a knit shift dress that will keep her warm. She can team this dress with an elegant pair of fitting slacks. A pair of matching flats on her feet will complete the look perfectly!

... a Spring Wedding

If you're attending a wedding in spring, you're one of the luckiest guests! 'Tis the time of flowers and butterflies and bees. Green grass growing everywhere, flowerbeds in full bloom, and your princess' rosy cheeks to match them! Spring weddings are all about color, vibrant and full!
So, give her a pretty skirt in a bright color, like red, orange or fuchsia, team it with a plain white blouse and a shrug matching the skirt. Have her hair tied in braids, so it doesn't come in her way when she's running around with the other kids, or eating the yummy dessert.
A bright dress with a big floral print along with some pretty beaded jewelry will also look great. Spring weddings are most likely to be held in the open, so give her a pair of pretty flat shoes that will go with her dress. Avoid heels at any cost.
Remember, you may like something that your kid may not. The key is to be patient and make sure that she is comfortable in what she's wearing. Ask her if she likes what you've chosen for her. There's no point making her wear something that you think is absolutely stunning, if she's going to be uncomfortable, and sit with a grumpy look on her face all through the wedding.
