How to Make Wedding Favors

Pallavi M
Wedding favors are a perfect way to thank your guests, for being a part of your happiness. This story offers a few ideas for elegant favors, which can be easily made at home.
Wedding favors have become an integral part of wedding receptions worldwide. From scented votive candles to fragrant Potpourri, these small gifts are the best way to thank your guests. They can also be a beautiful souvenir of your wedding.
You have a wealth of ideas when it comes to choosing the perfect ones for your special day. If you are tired of the same old tea lights and plaid purses, why not make your own wedding favors!

You must first decide what you want to communicate through your favors. You can choose one after considering the following:
  • Theme of the reception
  • Whether the reception party is formal or casual
  • Whether it is a spring, summer or winter wedding
  • Qualities that define you and your partner
Once this is decided, the next step is to use creative ideas to design the favors that reflect the real 'you'. You can also involve your family and friends in making them for your wedding.

Making Wedding Favors

Most popular favors include cookies and chocolates, wedding flowers, glass and crystal, personalized CDs, photo album or photo frame, silver items, bath and soap items, and personalized mint tins. It is not necessary that you spend a fortune; you can even think of an inexpensive idea, add a creative touch, pack it beautifully; and make wedding favors which are not only unique, but personal too.
