Amongst all the wedding flowers, the simplest and most elegant one is the hydrangea. It is the preferred choice in a spring or autumn wedding, as it is easily available during this time. They are available in a wide range of colors to perfectly complement the bride's wedding gown.

On each stem of this plant, you will find a cluster of small flowers, which naturally take a bouquet-like rounded shape. As they are available in a variety of colors, they can suit any wedding theme and setting.
For instance, for those who prefer soft pastel shades, there are hydrangeas in pink and mauve color. If you prefer something elegant, plain white bouquets are your answer. For those of you looking for some bold colors, you can choose from a whole variety of colors, ranging from blue and violet to red and orange!

Arrangements

There are lots of ways in which hydrangea can be used in wedding attire. You can make bouquets in a single shade, or you can mix different-colored flowers.
If you look at the current trend, arranging hydrangea with a variety of other flowers, such as roses, lilies, daisies, tulips, carnations, etc., is very popular. To make a bouquet yourself, you need around five to six stems, fillers such as roses and lilies, some greenery like ivy and leaves, and rubber bands and fabric such as satin or lace or net. Start by cutting the stalks so that they are equal in length, and trim the greenery you are using, removing any damaged or unappealing parts.
Take the stems and hold them together by surrounding them with the greenery. Insert the fillers in between the flowers. Make necessary adjustments so that the it looks round and perfectly shaped.
After this, tie the stems together with rubber bands, so that the arrangement stays intact. In the end, take the fabric and wrap it around the stem as creatively as possible to add to the visual appeal.

Care

Ideally, you should put in the order for the flowers not more than two days before the wedding. Usually, hydrangea lasts between four to seven days, depending upon the climate. If you find the bouquet wilting, here are some simple steps will make the flowers look alive and fresh again.
Separate each of the stems and immerse the flower completely in water. Let it soaked for about 2 hours. Keep them in a cool place. This will rehydrate the plant and help it perk up.
