Wedding day is the most special day in a girl's life, and that is why she wants to look her best on that day. Several beauty treatments are available nowadays to give that flawless look to the bride.
Regular ones like facials, pedicures, and manicures are always there, but if you want something extra, there is a host of others available these days which you can go for, depending on how you want to look on your D-day. So let's have a look at various beauty treatments available for brides-to-be.

Bridal Beauty Treatments

Microdermabrasion

If you have 6 months in hand before the wedding, microdermabrasion can be a good option for you. This treatment helps in exfoliating the upper layer of dull, old skin thereby revealing the young, smooth skin lying underneath. It is carried out using a diamond tip, finely ground crystals or sandpaper-like paddles.
The procedure is carried out mechanically and results in intense exfoliation. It is a gentle procedure and does not hamper regular activity. You can immediately start your regular routine after a microdermabrasion session. The treatment is divided into 6-8 sessions over a 6-12 week period. If you are suffering from severe acne, this option is not for you.

Chemical Peel

The aim of this treatment is similar to microdermabrasion and that is, to bring out the layer of younger-looking skin. However, it differs in the way it is conducted. Microdermabrasion is a mechanical procedure, while chemical peel is simply carried out by applying a chemical peel on the skin.
A slight tingling sensation is felt when the chemical peel in applied on the skin surface. The entire treatment is divided into 3-6 sessions, each one being carried out 2 weeks apart. It also helps in reducing acne and is best suited for fair skin. So if you have 3 months time, a chemical peel is the right choice for you.

YAG Laser

Three months in hand and you can go for YAG laser to get rid of dark spots, freckles, and spots due to exposure to the sun. This treatment utilizes lasers to treat melanin deposits on the skin surface that impart an imperfect look.
The procedure is extremely short and requires a couple of minutes in each session. One session or at the most two sessions, and you are done! This treatment is also used to get rid of undesired tattoos. So if you want to get your tattoo removed, this procedure can help you out with that as well.

Botox

You need to go to a skilled dermatologist if you wish to undergo this treatment. Botox is a protein obtained from Clostridium botulinum bacteria. It reduces fine lines and wrinkles that appear around eyes and on forehead, by paralyzing the muscles in that area.
You need to take this treatment at least one month prior to your wedding. It is conducted in a single session. Though it gives you a wrinkle-free skin, it can produce side effects like drooping of eyelids, redness at the site of injection, and flu-like symptoms. Therefore, take a wise decision before going for it.

Cortisone Shot

If only two days are left for the wedding and you see a pimple erupting on your face, how would you feel? Aghast, indeed. So, what's the way out. A single cortisone shot! Yes, a cortisone shot can reduce the inflammation or prevent the pimple from growing any further, if taken 24 hours before the wedding. There can be mild side effects, so talk to the dermatologist first and then take a decision.

Cosmetic Dentistry

Many people do not have nice teeth, and cosmetic dentistry helps them to get that perfect smile for their wedding day. Cosmetic dental treatments like bonding and whitening are done to give nice shape to tiny teeth and improve teeth color.
You may want to start this treatment 1 month before the wedding, as bonding requires 1-2 sessions conducted 1 week apart, along with 1 session for whitening. This treatment is only for cosmetic purpose and in no way helps in improving the teeth.

Laser Hair Removal

It is said that laser hair removal permanently removes unwanted hair, but the truth is, it does not guarantee complete hair removal. It takes several sessions to stop hair growth for a long time period.
This treatment utilizes an intense pulsating laser beam which is passed through the skin that damages hair follicles. If you don't want the last-minute tension of getting your body waxed, you can opt for laser hair removal, a month or so before the wedding.
Facials, massages, etc., are something you should definitely go for before your wedding, but if you want something extra, you can always choose from the options mentioned above. A few pre-wedding beauty tips would be; eat right, sleep tight and relax. You are surely going to be the most beautiful bride on earth. Wishing you a happy married life!
